Sensory-Friendly Pancakes with Santa

This holiday season, we’re bringing families together for a magical day that every child can enjoy. On Saturday November 29th 2025, join us for a sensory-friendly breakfast with Santa — a warm, inclusive event designed especially for ALL children. A choice of 2 hour seating, from 9:00-11:00 or 11:30-1:30pm or 2:00-4:00pm.

What to expect:

• A calm, neuro-affirming atmosphere with quiet noise spaces, sensory lights, cozy seating, and accessible visuals.
• Delicious kid-friendly breakfast including pancakes, sausage, bacon, muffins, fruit, safe-foods and beverages for young and old.
• Crafts and various holiday activities, cookie decorating and more!
• Fidget baskets and sensory-friendly touches throughout the space
• A patient and gentle Santa who connects with children at their own pace, and a FREE digital family photo.

Join us at Trent University Durham! The CHAT Lab is inviting families to participate in a research study exploring how children aged 3–7 years communicate with older adults. Children will take part in fun computer games and language activities, and parents will complete a short questionnaire. As a thank-you, participants will receive a $25 gift card. This fall, the Bowmanville Figure Skating Club is launching a brand-new Adult/Teen CanSkate program.  A fully coached, learn-to-skate opportunity for anyone aged 14 and up.

Whether you're stepping onto the ice for the first time or looking to refresh your skating skills, this program is designed to meet you where you are and help you build confidence on the ice.  (Please note- this is not a drop-in program. You must register for the program.)

Holiday Toy Drive

Stuff the Van at the Royal Canadian Legion, Bowmanville Branch on Saturday, November 29, 2025 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for the Bowmanville Salvation Army.

Donations of new toys, clothing, sports equipment, gift cards and boxed and canned food are very much appreciated.

The 2025 CPKC Holiday Train will tour Canada and the U.S. Nov. 19 through Dec. 21, raising money, food and awareness to support food banks across our network. Professional musicians play free concerts from the brightly decorated train's stage. CPKC donates to the local food bank at each stop and encourages all attendees to make a monetary or heart-healthy food donation.

Since its inaugural journey in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised more than $26 million and collected approximately 5.4 million pounds of food for community food banks in Canada and the U.S.

Join CPKC and musical guests Jade Eagleson andTeigen Gayse on November 29 at 2 p.m. and celebrate the holidays by listening to great music and donating to help your local food bank.
