The Municipality is seeking public comments before making a decision on an application for a proposed Plan of Subdivision and an application for a Zoning By-law Amendment.
Kaitlin Corporation has submitted Draft Plan of Subdivision and Rezoning applications to permit a total of 513 residential units consisting of 62 townhouse units and four six-storey apartment buildings with a total of 451 units. The proposal also includes underground parking, surface parking and amenity space.

Notice of decision
If you wish to be notified of the decision of Clarington Council on the proposed Official Plan Amendment, you must make a written request to the Municipal Clerk, 40 Temperance Street, Bowmanville, ON L1C 3A6.
Right of appeal
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of Clarington Council to the Ontario Land Tribunal, but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Clarington before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of Clarington before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
As per sections 17 (24.1), 17 (36.1), and 34 (19.1) of the Planning Act, appeals are not permitted from the adoption of additional residential unit policies in an Official Plan or the enactment of amendments to Zoning Bylaws to give effect to the Official Plan policies.
