The Haydon Kitchen Party is a bi-annual event held in the rural community of Haydon, in a small school house. This fall we are pleased to host Kerri Ough (1/3 of the Good Lovelies), accompanied by Ben Whiteley on bass. The event id $35 and tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/6121917. Food is included in the ticket price, and there will be a cash bar. Follow us on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM for more information @haydoncommunityhall. Here's a little more info about our musical guests:
A lifelong musician and artist, Kerri Ough is perhaps best-known as one-third of the acclaimed folk-roots harmony trio and Juno-award winners the Good Lovelies - though she simultaneously enjoys a successful solo career when she’s not on tour with the band.
In early 2019, Kerri released her debut solo-album “One Day Soon” and celebrated with an east coast tour alongside Royal Wood. The album charted across Canadian radio stations and her song “Beautiful Day” was featured in an episode of CBC’s Kim’s Convenience. In late 2021 Kerri released a five-song solo EP called “Afterthoughts."
Kerri will be joined at the Haydon Kitchen Party by her longtime friend and collaborator Ben Whiteley (Weather Station, Basia Bulat, Sarah Harmer) on upright bass and vocals to bring her lush solo composition to the stage - while of course sprinkling in some of her favourite Good Lovelies songs in the mix.
Up next? Kerri and the Good Lovelies will release their 10th album on October 6th and will be hitting the road across Canada, the UK and the US in support of that album.
