National Moth Week 2025 is back at the Samuel Wilmot Nature Area in Newcastle, ON! Join us for a night of exploring the fascinating world of moths in person at the beautiful Samuel Wilmot Nature Area. Get up close and personal with these winged wonders as we learn about their behavior, habitats, and importance to our ecosystem. Whether you're a seasoned moth enthusiast or just curious about these nocturnal creatures, this event is perfect for nature lovers of all ages. The event will run on nights between July 19-24th. Please register in advance: National Moth Week 2025 - Samuel Wilmot Nature Area, Newcastle, ON Tickets, Sat, 19 Jul 2025 at 10:00 PM | Eventbrite to let us know which night(s) you would like to go out, so we can plan. We may not set up the moth sheet on nights when no one is planning to come out. The event only runs on rain-free nights.

Meet at Toronto St. parking lot at 10:00 PM and we will walk to the forested site from there (~5 minute walk). Dress appropriately, bring a flashlight, bug spray, and your camera!
