Join Judith Clapperton, author of “Had They But Known Her,” as she reads from her book on Olive Wilmot and hosts a Q&A. The book arose from an article in the Newcastle Village & District Historical Society newsletter about Ms. Wilmot, which alluded to a mystery surrounding her untimely demise in 1903.
The Heritage Speaker Series Collective has been formed to plan a series of heritage talks to tell the stories of our veterans and war efforts in Clarington, building on CLMA's Golden Tales oral history project. Through the continued sharing of stories, we commemorate and honour local Veterans, their immense dedication and sacrifice they made through war efforts that left a rich legacy of history in the Clarington community.
