Join us for the opening reception & artist talk of We Have The Cure, a solo exhibition featuring Nigerian Canadian artist, Kosisochukwu Nnebe. The event will take place from 2 - 4 PM with the artist talk starting at approximately 2:30pm. Light refreshments will be provided

In We Have The Cure, Nnebe extends this lineage of Black feminist innovation into the present. Working across textiles, video, and installation, she brings together storytelling, historical reflection, and political activism. 

Her materials—cassava, indigo, fabric—evoke interconnected histories of resistance, healing, and survival.

This exhibition is organized by the Visual Arts Centre of Clarington with the support from Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, The Government of Ontario, and Municipality of Clarington.
